Praying for transformation in Papua New Guinea…
We were recently reminded of and highly recommend the book, “The Book That Made Your World” by Vishal Mangalwadi, which details the impact of the Bible on western culture. It reminds us of why the disparity is great between PNG and US culture, but also of the hope that resides in the power of the living Word of God to transform hearts, lives, communities and nations. Please pray for redemption and transformation as we help reduce Bible poverty in PNG.

Arrival and First Week
We arrived in Ukarumpa on July 7th. Friends met us at the airfield and invited us over from lunch and dinner. We've spent the last week getting settled in and are thankful for all of you who prayed us back to Papua New Guinea!

Departure Day!
God has truly blessed and provided for us in ways that we could not have imagined. Today we begin our journey back to the Papua New Guinea, which is sometimes called "The Land of the Unexpected". While we do not fully know what to expect, we take comfort in the fact that nothing surprises God. We look forward to our second term with anticipation. We thank all of you who are praying for us and financially partnering with our Wycliffe Ministry. Will update Facebook when we arrive. Have a great Independence Day and know that you are all in our prayers.
Note: Due to connection issues we moved up our flight arrangements to July 4th.

We Return to Papua New Guinea on July 7th!
We appreciate your continued prayers as we pack, sort, and get ready to fly over three days, a total of 36 hours and 11,000 miles. Our 6 months in the U.S. have been an amazing testimony to God’s love and provision, so we rejoice with our new partnership team as we prepare to return. Thanks to everyone who has blessed us while we’ve been here and helped us prepare to go back!
Prayer Points:
• Bible translation: Pray for national and expatriate teams for translation at the training center in Ukarumpa to receive useful tools for their continued work in PNG tribal languages.
• Our travel to PNG: Praise for how God has met our needs for airplane tickets and all of the connecting flights back to Ukarumpa before school begins on July 20th.
•“See you soon”: Pray for us as we say ’goodbye for now’ to friends and family and return to PNG for our next three years of service. Pray we return rested and ready to dive back into our ministry roles!

Pray for our U.I.S. graduates...
Ukarumpa International School graduated 20 young men and women last week, all of whom will return to their passport countries and begin either work or college in the fall. Pray for them as they readjust and work through the challenges of reverse culture shock and saying goodbye to their homes, friends, and family in PNG. They have been a blessing to both of us and we will miss seeing them in Ukarumpa!

Praising God for His provision of a complete partnership Team!
Thank you so much for praying for our partnership team. We have reached 100% of our monthly budget goal, right on our May 30th deadline for returning to PNG. Thank you for enabling us to support Bible translation by returning to Papua New Guinea this July.
Your partnership with our Wycliffe ministry is greatly appreciated. Special thanks to those those who have been on our team these last 2 years, as well as to our new teammates. We promise to update you regularly on how God is moving in PNG and is using us to faithfully serve in Security and Teaching there.
You can still become a prayer partner with our Wycliffe ministry- you and your family are a critical part of how God is bringing His Word to the bibleless people!

Join Our Team Today!!
It gives us great joy to announce that new financial partners have joined our Wycliffe partnership team and the amount needed to complete our monthly ministry budget is now reduced to $257/month. We praise God for this wonderful blessing!
We must have our entire ministry budget pledged by May 30 in order to be released to Papua New Guinea in early July. Once released, we can then purchase airplane tickets and begin to prepare for our return.
If we miss this deadline, it could prevent us from being in Ukarumpa for the start on the new school year on July 20th. The school has asked Kathy to head the Science Department, as well as teach 3 classes and advise the Grade 8's, so they are praying earnestly for us to make this deadline. Scott is also needed to resume his role as Security Manager for PNG as soon as possible.
What you can do:
(1) Pray that the additional $257 will be promised for our monthly budget by May 30. The Lord can do abundantly more than we can think or ask! Pray that God will call the people He desires to be partners with us in reaching this goal.
(2) Very important! To become a financial partner in our Wycliffe ministry, please let us know immediately by phone at 603-978-8242 or by email at kathy_watson@wycliffe.org so we can inform our supervisor that the financial gap is being closed. Then, use the link below to go to Wycliffe's e- giving website.
Thank you so much for considering partnership. Please join us in prayer for our remaining need, and we will keep you informed as God acts on our behalf.
