“In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” -John 1:4-5 NIV
As followers of Christ, we are called to pour out our lives for the gospel, to be light and salt to those around us. Our time in the USA may look a bit different, but it is just as much of a ministry and mission field as our time in Papua New Guinea. Since arriving back in the USA in June, we have been blessed to see family and friends, speak at churches and small groups, and share about the great things that God is doing in Papua New Guinea and in our own lives. Along the way, we have been deeply encouraged and blessed by many of you as well. Thus far, we have traveled throughout New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia and North Carolina. Our next stops include Alabama, Georgia and Florida, before we head back to Pennsylvania and then, Lord willing, to Papua New Guinea after Christmas. We have finished getting our updated immunizations and necessary paperwork to return to the field, but increases in our ministry budget due to the increased cost of health insurance and inflation mean that we still need to raise another $500 a month. If you are not currently financially partnering with our Wycliffe ministry and would like to, please contact us or use the link (right column of this blog). Jesus is our lighthouse, shining in the darkness, and it is a privilege to reflect His light to those around us. May His light and truth bring you peace and comfort in a troubling and often chaotic world, and may He use you to be His light to those in darkness around you. Please let us know how we can be praying for you!
